Kinky Boots tickets are a dream for RuPaul’s Drag Race, Cyndi Lauper and musical fans alike

Kinky Boots is the sensational new Tony and Olivier Award-winning musical by Harvey Fierstein and Cyndi Lauper, based on the popular 2005 film of the same name. The musical opened at London’s Adelphi Theatre and has wowed both audiences and critics alike, winning the sought-after 2016 Olivier Award for Best New Musical.

Based on the popular 2005 British film, Kinky Boots takes place in a declining shoe factory in Northampton, Price & Son, which a young Charlie has recently inherited from his late father. Charlie has never been interested in shoes and his city-obsessed fiancée Nicola wants them to live a more glamorous life in London. Upon discovering that the family business is in tatters, Charlie reluctantly attempts to reform the dwindling business in order to save the team of devoted staff. One such member of staff is Lauren, who refuses to let Charlie give up on her and the team.

After realising he knows nothing about shoes, Charlie struggles to revive the business. Help comes from an unlikely source as he rescues a lady from a fight, only to discover she is a fabulous drag queen named Lola who struggles with poorly designed shoes. Using Lola’s sass and fashion-forward thinking, Lauren’s determination, and business skills, Charlie works to manufacture a new range of boots. Kinky boots! Lauper’s incredible pop-inspired score includes show-stopping numbers such as “Sex is in the Heel,” “The History of Wrong Guys,” “Everybody Say Yeah” and “Just Be”.

Kinky Boots’ current casting includes Oliver Tompsett (Wicked) as Charlie Price, Simon-Anthony Rhoden as Lola and Natalie McQueen as Lauren, as well as Cordelia Farnworth as Nicola, Sean Needham as Don and Michael Hobbs as George.

Directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown), Kinky Boots features design by David Rockwell, lighting design by Kenneth Posner and sound design by John Shivers. A powerful feel-good musical about love, perseverance and, above all, acceptance, Kinky Boots is guaranteed to leave you grinning from ear to ear!
