Iconic children’s character The Very Hungry Caterpillar nibbles his way into the West End for a very festive season. Following a recent New York run, the stage adaptation of the beloved picture book wriggles into London’s Ambassadors Theatre for a limited run beginning in December.

Based on Eric Carle’s famed book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar is the tasty tale of a greedy caterpillar who just wants to eat everything in sight! Selling over 41 million copies since its publication in 1969, The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a legendary picture book that has been delighting children across generations. This show is set to feature three more of Carle’s popular stories, including The Artist Who Painted a Horse Blue, Mister Seahorse and The Very Lonely Firefly.

Directed by Jonathan Rockefeller, the stories will be brought to life with the use of over 75 magical, colourful puppets, in a nostalgic treat that will entertain children, parents and grandparents alike. The Very Hungry Caterpillar has also received a Drama Desk nomination, as well as winning the seal of approval from major celebrities and even Carle himself.
