The Apollo Theatre is located along the most famous stretch of road in Theatreland; Shaftesbury Avenue. This road is home to seven major theatres, including the Queen’s Theatre – the home of the long running Les Misèrables. Shaftesbury Avenue is well placed for London’s famous China Town and a wealth of other bars and restaurants in the area.

Rail


The nearest rail station to the Apollo Theatre is Charing Cross rail station (10 minutes walk.) From Charing Cross, take a left out of the station and then head straight up Charing Cross Road. After about a ten minute walk, the road intersects with Shaftesbury Avenue. Take a left onto the avenue and the theatre is a short walk up the road.

Tube


The nearest tubes are Piccadilly Circus (Bakerloo and Piccadilly lines), Leicester Square (Piccadilly line) and Charing Cross (Bakerloo and Northern lines).

From Piccadilly Circus - Turn right out of the station and right up Shaftesbury Avenue. The Apollo Theatre is about a two minute walk away and will be on the left hand side of the road.
From Leicester Square - Head north up Charing Cross Road. The road will intersect Shaftesbury Avenue. Take a left onto the avenue and the Apollo Theatre is just a short walk up the road.

For buses to Shaftesbury Avenue use: 12, 14, 19, 38

For buses to Regent Street (5 minute walk) use: 6, 13, 15, 23, 88, 94, 139, 159

Car


The Apollo Theatre is within the London Congestion Charge Zone which applies from 7am until 6pm and costs £11.50 per day. If you are driving to the theatre after 6pm then you will not be charged.

The nearest car park is Brewer Street car park (W1F 0LA). The car park is open for access 24hrs a day and 2-4 hours parking costs £27.00.

The Apollo Theatre is part of the Q-Park Scheme. The nearest participating car park is the 24hr Q Park Chinatown Car Park (20 Newport Place, WC2H 7PR). Parking costs £18 for up to 3hrs, and £24 for 4hrs but theatregoers can save 50% if they have their ticket validated at the theatre.

Taxi


As the Apollo Theatre is located in the heart of central London, you will have no problem getting a taxi before or after the show. Taxis tend to frequently drive past the area and can be hailed if they have their orange light on. Alternatively there is a designated taxi rank at Charing Cross rail station
