Mrs Henderson Presents tickets are perfect for musical fans as this popular film is beautifully adapted for the stage

After a hugely successful premiere at the Theatre Royal Bath, wartime musical Mrs Henderson Presents entertains audiences at the Noel Coward Theatre. A new musical adaptation of Martin Sherman’s popular 2005 film starring Judi Dench, Mrs Henderson Presents tells the story of Laura Henderson, an eccentric widow who runs a risqué revue at the Windmill Theatre during the Second World War.

Featuring a book and direction by Terry Johnson, Mrs Henderson Presents follows recently widowed Mrs Henderson, who is searching for a way to spend her time and money. When her eye falls on a former cinema at Great Windmill Street, she couples up with impresario Van Damm to present a variety of acts. As war breaks out, Mrs Henderson decides that there is only one way to boost morale amongst the troops, and soon invents The Windmill Girls, who pose nude onstage.

Starring Olivier Award-winning Tracie Bennett and Olivier-nominated Emma Williams and Ian Bartholomew, Mrs Henderson features a large cast, including Jamie Foreman, Robert Hands, Matthew Malthouse, Samuel Holmes, Katie Bernstein, Lizzy Connolly, Lauren Hood, Liz Ewing, Sarah Bakker, Rhiannon Chesterman, Victoria Hay, Olivier Jackson, Alexander Delamere, Andrew Bryant, Katrina Kleve, Tania Newton, Sam O’Rourke, Neil Stewart, Dickie Wood, Emily Goodenough, Ian Gareth-Jones, Lauren Logan and Graham Vick.

Mrs Henderson Presents features music by George Fenton and Simon Chamberlain, who collaborated on the 2005 film, with lyrics by the Oscar, Tony and Golden Globe Award-winning Don Black. Choreographed by Andrew Wright, the show also includes set design by Tim Shortall, costume design by Paul Willis and lighting design by Ben Ormerod. Mrs Henderson Presents is a fun, feel-good classic which is set to entertain audiences until June 2016.
