Charles Dickens’ best-known tale comes to Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre as part of an exciting Dickens Uncovered duo. Adapted by Anya Reiss from the original novel, Olivier Twist brings the popular Victorian story to the stage, created especially for everyone aged six and over.

Discover the story of London’s most famous child, as Oliver Twist guarantees to keep audiences on the edge of their seat. Following the young orphan as he runs away from the nasty adults in his life, Oliver Twist is a tale of friendship, discovery and acceptance and is renowned all over the world.

Award-winning playwright Anya Reiss adapts the tale, previously adapting stories such as Spring Awakening, Uncle Vanya and The Seagull. Oliver Twist is directed by Caroline Byrne, who recently was at the helm of Shakespeare’s Globe’s The Taming of the Shrew.

Dickens Uncovered celebrates the life and works of one of London’s greatest storytellers, with A Tale of Two Cities and Oliver Twist both featuring in the season. Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre has had great success with their plays re-imagined for those aged six and over.

Oliver Twist plays a limited season from July 17th to August 5th 2017.
