Winner of the 2012 London Restaurant Festival Discovery Award, The Gate in Islington is an excellent choice for pre or post theatre dining. With a vegetarian menu of Indian and Iraqi inspired dishes with European influences, The Gate is a new kind of cultural fusion. Menus include delicious (and reasonably priced) mezze selections as well as hearty starters and mains. There is also a specially designed pre and post-theatre menu that offers 2 courses for £15. There are plenty of soft drinks, including fresh juice as well as alcoholic drinks, with wines, beers and other alcoholic drinks available, including an extensive list of creative cocktails.
