The Wyndham’s Theatre is situated along the busy Charing Cross Road and right next to Leicester Square tube station.  This area is home to many West End theatres as well as a great deal of pubs, restaurants, hotels and is always very busy throughout the day and night.  As the theatre is located so centrally in London, there are many transportation links available. Before travelling it is always best to check the Travel For London website http://www.tfl.gov.uk/ for updates and reported issues.

Rail


The nearest National Rail station to the Wyndham’s Theatre is London Charing Cross, which runs trains to London Waterloo (a major station connecting London with a lot of the South West of England), London Bridge and many stations in Kent. The station is less than a 10 minute walk away from the theatre. Please see the directions below.

London Charing Cross (7 minutes) – Head straight out of the station and cross over the road at the traffic lights. Take an immediate left down Duncannon Street and then turn right up St Martins Place. Continue past the Garrick Theatre as the road turns into Charing Cross Road. The theatre is next to Leicester Square tube station.

Tube


The nearest tube station to the Piccadilly Theatre is undoubtedly Leicester Square (Northern and Piccadilly lines), which is pretty much on the theatre’s doorstep. Piccadilly Circus tube station (Bakerloo and Piccadilly lines) is also just a short walk away.

Leicester Square (45 seconds) – Head straight out of the station, depending on which exit you take the theatre will either be across the road from you or on your left hand side.
Piccadilly Circus (5 minutes) – Exit the station and head towards the Trocadero and Leicester Square down Coventry St. Take a right after Burger King and head straight down the street until you reach Charing Cross Road. Turn left onto the road and cross the street

Car


The Wyndham’s Theatre is located within the London Congestion Charge Zone which applies weekdays (excluding bank holidays) from 7am until 6pm and costs £11.50 per day. If you are driving to the theatre after 6pm then you will not be charged.
The Wyndham’s Theatre is part of the Q-Park Scheme. The nearest participating car park is the 24hr Q Park Chinatown Car Park (20 Newport Place,WC2H 7PR). Parking costs £18 for up to 3hrs and £24 for 4hrs however theatregoers can save 50% if they have their tickets validated at the theatre.

Taxi


There will be plenty of black cabs driving up Charing Cross Road after the show has finished, however demand for cabs may be quite high and it may be difficult for you to get a taxi straight away. There is a designated taxi rank at London Charing Cross station; getting a cab here may be easier and quicker than directly outside the theatre.
