Mojo
See a star-studded revival of Jez Butterworth’s powerful play with Mojo tickets
Set in Soho’s golden era of sex, drugs and Rock n Roll, Mojo showcases an all star cast in it’s darkly comic roles. Harry Potter’s Rupert Grint makes his West End debut as Sweet, an gang member addicted to amphetamines. Skyfall star Ben Wishaw will play Baby, a psychotic unloved son of club manager and gang leader Ezra. Downton Abbey’s Brendan Coyle joins the cast as Mickey, Ezra’s ambitious second in command and Merlin’s Colin Morgan will play gang member Skinny.
The entirety of the action tales place within the sordid Atlantic Club and begins as local gangster, Ross decides to intervene with the affairs of a rival gang and club owners. Ezra is head of the offending gang, a situation which Ross quickly rectifies, leaving the Atlantic Club and it’s band of wayward cronies in a state of flux.
As the gang come to terms with the grizzly end of their leader, a power struggle ensues leaving individual members unsure of where they stand.
Ian Rickson, who directed the original production at the Royal Court, will return to direct the piece almost two decades later! Rickson has also worked extensively with writer Butterworth since their original collaboration on the show in 1995.
The show begins at the Harold Pinter Theatre 26th October and runs until the 25th January 2014.
Child Friendly
