Take a festive family trip to the theatre this Christmas and fall in love with The Snowman when it returns to the Peacock Theatre.

Based on the classic Christmas book by Raymond Briggs, The Snowman sees a boy and his magical snowman embark on a winter wonderland adventure to the North Pole! Along the way, they have to escape from Jack Frost, but they get some help along the way from new friends: An Ice Princess, Father Christmas, and a group of dancing penguins.

The story of The Snowman is best known for the 1982 animated television special, which was nominated for an Academy Award. The silent animation featured the now-classic song ‘Walking in the Air’, which was famously covered by Aled Jones a few years later.

‘Walking in the Air’ features in this stage adaptation of The Snowman, along with other music by Howard Blake. The Snowman features a mixture of live music, storytelling, dance, and magic which will enchant and delight all the family.

The show is directed by Bill Alexander, and choreographed by Robert North.

The Snowman become a festive tradition at the Peacock, with Ruari Murchison’s design coupled with Tim Mitchell’s lighting captivating audiences both young and old alike.
