David Walliams‘ best-selling children’s book Billionaire Boy receives a West End transfer following a hugely successful adaptation of his other book Gangsta Granny.

Billionaire Boy, which has been adapted for the stage by Neal Foster, will play a summer season at London’s Garrick Theatre from 17th July.

Following 12-year-old Joe Spud, Billionaire Boy tells the story of the richest boy in the UK, who gets a whopping £100,000 in pocket money every week. He’s the boy who has it all, except one thing that money can’t buy – true friendship. Missing a friend to share all the excitement with, Joe decides to move from his expensive private school to the local comprehensive. But as things start to go wrong, Joe must learn that when money is involved, nothing is straight-forward.

Award-winning author, actor and comedian David Walliams has become one of the most successful children’s authors in the country, releasing best-selling books such as Mr Stink, Demon Dentist and The Boy in the Dress, which was recently adapted into a musical by the Royal Shakespeare Company.
