After a successful debut concert performance at the London Palladium, smash-hit new British musical Eugenius! crashed into The Other Palace, selling out and sparking super-fans. Now, the cult musical returns to the London stage, playing another limited season at Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s The Other Palace, produced by Warwick Davis, Kevin Wood and George Wood.

With a book, music and lyrics by Ben Adams and Chris Wilkins, Eugenius! is the funny and touching story of Eugene, a teenage boy with a penchant for comic book writing. Dreaming of far-away superheroes and villains, this might be the ticket to get him to create his own Hollywood comic book movie! Enlisting the help of his friends Janey and Feris, Eugene must discover what growing up really means, by finding the superhero within, defeating the villains and falling in love along the way.

The musical was first seen at the London Palladium in a concert performance starring musical theatre veterans and featuring a sensational 80s-inspired score, including “Superhot Lady”, “Happy Endings Don’t Exist”, “Comic Book Kind of Love” and “Go Eugenius”. For this production, our hero Eugene is played by Rob Houchen (Les Misérables, Titanic). Laura Baldwin (Big Fish the Musical) reprises her role as Janey while Daniel Buckley (Book Of Mormon, Loserville) is back in the part of Feris. Evil Lord Hector is played by Neil McDermott (Wind in the Willows, Shrek the Musical). Fans of Brian Blessed will recognise his voice as Space Lord. They are supported by Scott Paige, Alex Bourne, Simon Thomas, Emily Tierney, Christopher Ragland, Tom Senior, Alison Arnopp, Alex Tranter, Ben Darcy, Dilllon Scott-Lewis, Lauren Cancannon, Amy West and Sasha Wareham.

Olivier Award-nominated Ian Talbot directs, after previously being the Artistic Director of Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre for 20 years, and helming productions including Annie Get Your Gun and Lend Me a Tenor. Eugenius! also features choreography by Aaron Renfree, design by Hannah Wolfe, sound design by Gareth Owen and lighting design by Andrew Ellis, with musical direction by Darren Lord.

Featuring a hilarious and scintillating script that is guaranteed to have you laughing and punching the air, Eugenius! plays at The Other Palace for a strictly limited season, from September 1st to October 21st 2018, with an official opening on September 5th 2018.
