This new dark comedy from acclaimed writer Sarah Rutherford makes its world premier at Trafalgar Studios. The Girl Who Fell promises a funny and poignant piece of contemporary British theatre.

Sam has taken her own life aged only fifteen. Her mother, Thea, is a chaplain and blames herself for her daughter’s suicide. To understand the cause and to find out what may have become of Sam after her death, Thea joins strange teenage twins, Billie and Lenny, along with lost-soul, Gil on a potentially dangerous journey that will force Thea to confront some revelations that she may not be expecting.

Sarah Rutherford wrote Park Theatre’s Adult Supervision, which garnered rave reviews and sell-out audiences. Her latest play is a provocative, hilarious and though-proviking insight into grief, guilt, youth and social media.

The cast includes Claire Goose (Generation Z) as Thea, Rosie Day (Outlander) as Billie, Will Fletcher (making his professional debut) as Lenny and Navin Chowdry (Doctor Foster) as Gil. Hannah Price directs.

This is an intelligent, important work from one of Britain’s most exciting playwrights of recent years. The Girl Who Fell will run at Trafalgar Studios 2 from 15th October to 23rd November.
