Book A Little Life tickets to experience James Norton in the blistering, powerful novel on stage

James Norton stars as troubled lawyer Jude in director Ivo van Hove’s acclaimed adaptation of A Little Life. The epic, Booker Prize nominated novel is a powerful story that has captured the hearts of readers worldwide, and celebrates its English language stage premiere at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

Spanning three decades of friendship between actor Willem, architect Malcolm, artist JB, and lawyer Jude, A Little Life is the story of a connection stretched and battered by ambition and pride, but never torn. Its beating heart is a shared love for troubled but mysterious Jude. When the secrets of his past emerge, his friends learn the power of boundless love in the face of tragedy.

A Little Life is novelist Hanya Yanagihara’s biggest success. It was nominated for the Man Booker Prize in 2015 and has kept millions of readers passionately engrossed in its challenging but captivating pages.

Tony and Olivier Award-winning director Ivo van Hove (Hedda Gabler; Network; A View from the Bridge) brought the story to the stage in 2018, and it premiered with Toneelgroep Amsterdam’s theatre company. It has since been received in New York and Edinburgh, but is now performed in English for the first time.

James Norton stars as Jude. His credits include Happy Valley and Grantchester on the BBC. The cast also includes Omari Douglas (It’s a Sin; Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club) as JB, Luke Thompson (Bridgerton) as Willem and Zach Wyatt (The Witcher) as Malcolm.

The imaginations of two creative heavyweights combine for this mesmerising play, led by a hugely talented cast. Find out why A Little Life has become a modern classic as it runs in the West End for a limited season.
