Acclaimed French musical Notre Dame de Paris returns to London once more to play a 20th anniversary run at the London Coliseum. Receiving international acclaim across 23 countries, the mesmerizing musical is an astounding ensemble piece that sees singers, dancers and acrobats tell the well-known story of the hunchback of Notre Dame.

Based on Victor Hugo’s classic 1831 novel, Notre Dame de Paris follows the hunchbacked bell-ringer Quasimodo and his tragic love for the gypsy, Esmerelda. With several adaptations across stage and screen, the tale was also made into a 1996 romantic Disney film. The musical features songs including “Belle”, “Home in the Sky” and “Give Her to Me”, amongst many more.

The production stars several members of the principal cast in the world tour, including Angelo Del Vecchio as Quasimodo and Hiba Tawaji as Esmerelda, Daniel Lavoie as Frollo. Richard Charest plays Gringoire while Alyzée Lalande and Idesse play Fleur-de-Lys. Martin Giroux takes on the part of Phœbus and Clopin is performed by Jay.
The cast is completed by acrobats Abdel Kader Diop, Jonathan Gajdane, Nathan Jones, Samuele Poddi and Alberto Poli, break dancers Alex Besnier and Pasquale Fortunato, singers Elhaida Dani, Julien Mior, Florian Robert, Rodrigue Galio and Roland Julienne and dancers Domenico Ausilio, Giulia Barbone, Wilfried Bernard, Luca Calzolaro, Gianluca Falvo, Alexandre Lacoste, Giuseppe Marino, Marta Marino, Joane Nabonne, Emanuele Pironti, Anaïs Replumaz, Martina Ronchetti, Julie Vlieghe and Roberta Zegretti.

Originally premiering at the Palais de Congrès in 1998, the production has since gone on to sell out venues worldwide, with performances across 16 countries being translated into 9 different languages. After its opening, the show was also commended in the Guinness Book of World Records for record-breaking success as a musical.

Composed by Richard Cocciante, the musical is accompanied by the ENO Orchestra (conducted by Matthew Bird) and features lyrics by Luc Plamondon and is produced by Nicolas Talar. A sung-through piece, Notre Dame de Paris plays a strictly limited seven performances at the London Coliseum, from January 23rd to January 27th 2019.
