The Guilty
Tense drama with The Guilty play tickets
Following a hit, sold-out season at the Donmar Warehouse, The Guilty play transfers to the West End’s Harold Pinter Theatre, starring Russell Tovey. This tense one man drama, based on the Danish film Del Skyldige, is a “thrilling shot of theatrical adrenaline” (The Standard) that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last moments.
Troubled police officer Joe is stuck on desk duty when a strange call comes through. On the other end of the line, Emily sounds desperate… but can he decode what she’s trying to tell him in time? Tense, foreboding and full of unsettling twists and turns, The Guilty is a white-knuckle thriller where nothing is as it seems.
Russell Tovey stars as Joe in The Guilty play’s West End transfer, following his “commanding” (The Guardian) performance at the Donmar Warehouse in Covent Garden. Tovey is best-known for his extensive screen work, which includes The War Between the Land and the Sea, Being Human and Years and Years. On stage, he has performed in various shows including Constellations in the West End and Angels in America at the National Theatre.
The Guilty is written by Chloe Moss, adapted from Gustav Moller and Emil Nygaard Albertson’s original screenplay for Den Skyldige, and directed by Felix Barrett, Artistic Director of immersive theatre company Punchdrunk. Barrett brings some of his unique vision to this production, which is a claustrophobic, haunting and exhilarating 65-minute experience.
Secrets are on both ends of the phone, but will they all be revealed? Find out with tickets to The Guilty at the Harold Pinter Theatre. This “bloody good, real-time thriller” (TimeOut) plays for a limited season in 2027.
