Anthony Horowitz’s Mindgame returns to the stage for a strictly limited three-week season, following the early closure of Small Faces’ musical All or Nothing. Based on the award-winning writer’s novel of the same name, the production previously premiered in 1999 in Colchester, later transferring to London’s Vaudeville Theatre.

Originally starring Simon Ward, Christopher Blake and Helen Hobson, Mindgame follows the story of crime-writer Mark Styler, who interviews a notorious serial killer to assist with his newest novel. Arriving at a hospital for the criminally insane, Styler prepares to speak to murderer Easterman, but ends up clashing with Dr Farquhar about how the interview will take place.

Mindgame is penned by Anthony Horowitz, whose recent theatre credits include Dinner with Saddam at the Menier Chocolate Factory, starring Steven Berkoff. Best-known for his books, including the Alex Rider collection and The Diamond Brothers series, he has also written two Sherlock Holmes novels.

Recently revived in 2016 as part of the Theatre Royal Nottingham’s thriller season, Mindgame later embarked on a limited national tour. Playing a strictly limited season at the West End’s Ambassadors Theatre, the production runs for a strictly limited season, from May 15th to June 2nd 2018. Mindgame is followed by Pressure, starring David Haig.
