Stranger Things star Sadie Sink makes her West End debut in 2026, playing one of the most famous theatrical roles of all time: Juliet in Shakespeare’s tragic Romeo and Juliet play. Opposite Noah Jupe (Hamnet) as Romeo, Sink is set to light up the Harold Pinter Theatre as part of director Robert Icke’s (Oedipus) electrifying new version of the age-old story. Romeo and Juliet is one of Shakespeare’s most famous tragedies, brought into the 21st century by powerhouse director Robert Icke. Icke is best-known for his transformative takes on classic plays, and became the youngest ever winner of the directing Olivier Award for Oresteia (2016). His other work includes The Doctor starring Juliet Stevenson and Oedipus starring Mark Strong. 

The Romeo and Juliet play cast is led by Sadie Sink, who appears in London direct from an acclaimed season in John Proctor is the Villain on Broadway. She is best known for playing Max in Stranger Things on Netflix. Noah Jupe co-stars as Romeo, also in his West End debut. Jupe gained recognition as a child actor in shows including The Night Manager, before being nominated for Best Supporting Male at the Independent Spirit Awards for Honey Boy. His upcoming projects include the film adaptation of Hamnet.
