On a snowy Christmas Eve in Edwardian London, young Clara unwraps a present. Inside the paper is an enchanted Nutcracker, who takes her hand and takes her on a remarkable adventure. As the pair fly off to a dazzling new world, they meet mysterious strangers, defeat the evil Mouse King, and drift above the Land of Snow in a hot air balloon.
The Nutcracker ballet is one of the West End’s sweetest Christmas treats, wrapped up in Tchaikovsky’s famous score. Every year, theatregoers take their seats at the Coliseum, ready to be thrilled by the notes of the Nutcracker Suite ringing across the auditorium – including the famous “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” and “Waltz of the Flowers”.
This new retelling is choreographed by English National Ballet Artistic Director Aaron S.
