When popular sorority girl Elle Woods is dumped by her boyfriend because he wants someone more serious, she decides to teach him a major lesson – by getting into Harvard Law School! As she swaps Californian beaches for studying in libraries, Elle soon realises that everyone around her thinks she’s just a dumb blonde. Can she prove them wrong… and maybe even use her unique skill set to help solve a murder case?
With a book by Heather Hach and music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, the Legally Blonde musical is an iconic rom-com, based on the film of the same name starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Coolidge. It premiered on Broadway in 2007 and made its West End debut in 2010 at the Savoy Theatre, followed by a London revival in 2022 at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.
The show features some of the catchiest musical songs around, including “Omigod You Guys”, “Serious” and “So Much Better”, so forget 83%; you’ll have a 100% rate of entertainment in the audience.
This new revival comes to London straight from a UK tour, directed by Nikolai Foster (Grease, The Wizard of Oz, Kinky Boots with Johannes Radebe) and starring Amber Davies (Strictly Come Dancing, The Great Gatsby, Pretty Woman) as Elle Woods.
