Based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s beloved classic, The Great Gatsby musical is a brand new show set during the high times of America’s Jazz Age. It popped the champagne for its Broadway premiere in 2023, winning a Tony Award for Best Costume Design in a Musical and leaving critics breathless thanks to its “crowd-pleasing spectacle” (Washington Post) that “explodes with life and energy” (Entertainment Weekly).
The musical is adapted from page to stage with a book by Kait Kerrigan (The Mad Ones) and Jazz and pop-inspired music & lyrics by Jason Howland (Little Women) and Nathan Tysen (Paradise Square). Overseeing the celebrations is director Marc Bruni, best known for his work on Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.
Casting is to be confirmed, but on Broadway big-hitters Jeremy Jordan (Newsies, Waitress) starred as Gatsby opposite Hadestown’s Eva Noblezada as Daisy and Noah J. Ricketts as Nick Carraway.
