Fans of Riverdance and Irish dancing will rejoice with Heartbeat of Home tickets
Fans of Riverdance will be pleased to hear that a brand new dance and music production will be dancing its way into London’s West End this autumn. Heartbeat of Home will run at the Piccadilly Theatre from September 4th.
Heartbeat of Home originally played two performances earlier this year at the London Palladium, and due to great reception will be making its way back to the West End. Mixing a variety of dance styles including Irish, Hip-Hop, Afro-Cuban, Latin, and Contemporary, this ‘high octane music and dance extravaganza’ will be sure to warm you up and be a feast for the eyes.
The cast includes 33 world-class dancers and live musicians, who hail from many areas across the globe including Ireland, the US, Britain, Italy, Argentina, and Spain.
Moya Doherty produces this spectacle alongside the creator and director John McColgan. Brian Byrne composes, with Joseph O’Connor penning the lyrics and David Bolger choreographing. John Carey choreographs the Irish dance.
Set design comes from Alan Farquharson with project designed jointly by David Torpey and David Mattias. Peter Canning designs the lighting whilst Ciarán Byrne designs the sound. Costume styling comes from Monica Ennis and Niamh O’Connor.
