Giant family fun with The Smartest Giant in Town play tickets

The beloved picture book has been adapted into a heart-warming musical and will be heading to London’s St. Martin’s Theatre this Winter for a limited run. The tale of friendship is filled with clever puppetry and toe-tapping songs, making it a great hour of light-hearted entertainment for the little ones and their grown-ups with The Smartest Giant in Town play. The story is co-produced by Fierylight and Little Angel Theatre companies, which are dedicated to quality family entertainment. Having also adapted much-loved children’s books such as Charlie Cook’s Favourite Book and Dogs Don’t Do Ballet, audiences are sure to be in for an hour of incredible entertainment.

When giant, George, finds a shop selling giant-sized clothes he decides he wants a smart, new look. George turned himself from the scruffiest giant in town to the smartest giant in town. What happens when George bumps into some tiny animals who need desperate help… and his clothes? The heart-warming tale of friendship is an exciting adventure full of music, puppets and giggles, making it an ideal production for little ones.

The cast for The Smartest Giant in Town play is yet to be released but last year’s cast included Duane Gooden (Aladdin, Kinky Boots) as The Giant.

Directed by Samantha Lane, the Artistic Director of Little Angel Theatre and composed by Barb Jungr (We’re Going On A Bear Hunt, The Singing Mermaid), with Sherry Coenen (Operation Mincemeat, Frankenstein) as lighting designer and Kate Bunce (Wind in the Willows, I Believe in Unicorns).
