You’ll never look at front of house staff the same away again after you book Ushers Musical tickets

After a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe, the Off-West End smash hit Ushers: The Front of House Musical is coming to the Arts Theatre for a limited run this September. Ushers previously premiered at the Hope Theatre in 2013 before transferring to the Charing Cross Theatre London in 2014.

Following the front of house staff during a working shift, Ushers brings us the hilarious, ridiculous and moving stories of ice-cream and programme sellers who dare to dream. At the same time as an untrained newbie begins her first shift, a three-year workplace romance is on the rocks and the amorous manager is under pressure to cut costs, all as a preview performance of a new jukebox musical is about to take place in their theatre. What could possibly go wrong?

The creative team includes music by Yiannis Koutsakos and lyrics by James Oban and Yiannis Koutsakos. The show will be directed by Max Reynolds with a book by James Rottger, choreography by Russell Smith and musical direction by James Cleeve. Ushers is produced by Matthew Cundy Productions and Kouban Productions.

Casting includes successful drama school graduates Ben Fenner, Cameron Sharp, Alexandra Parkes and Corrine Preist, as well as Rory Maquire (Peter Pan in Shrek The Musical UK Tour) and Harry Stone (Eastenders).

Ushers: The Front of House Musical has big, bold company numbers and fosse-like choreography. After huge success in Edinburgh 2015, this unique show returns to the West End. With a script full of heart, soul and plenty of laughs, this musical promises to be hugely entertaining.

The production runs at the Arts Theatre from September 9th to October 18th. Tickets are now on sale.

Child Friendly

With some sexual innuendo, plenty of theatrical in-jokes and a surprise ending, this production is not suitable for young children.
