Nandos has brought the revolution of Portuguese flame-grilled Peri-Peri chicken to pretty much every district of London, including, much to the delight of West End theatregoers, Covent Garden! With a spacious two floored restaurant on Chandos Place, Nandos serves up fast food to those who don’t have the time for a three course meal before the theatre. Whilst the menu is mostly chicken, there is steak and a selection of vegetarian options too, meaning all sorts of hungry visitors can enjoy a spicy nibble together! Also – don’t worry if you don’t like your food too hot; Nandos also provides non spicy sauces for those with a more delicate palate.

Carluccio's (0.3 miles)

Located just off the Piazza, the Covent Garden Carluccio’s is the flagship restaurant. Set over two floors and with speedy service, you will have no problem getting a table for a swift pre-theatre dinner. With a menu of authentic reasonably priced Italian food, there is an array of dishes (fish, meat, pasta, salads) to suit everyone – they even include a gluten-free menu. Carluccio’s now offer picnic hampers – so if it is a nice day, you can take restaurant quality food to a nearby park before you enjoy a show at the Duchess Theatre!

Opera Tavern (1 min)

For a real Theatreland experience, the Opera Tavern is located in the thick of all theatrical action on Catherine Street (just a stones throw from the Duchess Theatre). With an array of bar snacks, hams, cheeses, grilled burgers and tapas, there is a great deal of Spanish and Italian influenced dishes to choose from. There is also an extensive wine list to match the food menu.
