Nanny McPhee Musical
Family mischief and magic with Nanny McPhee musical tickets
She’s on her way! The world premiere Nanny McPhee musical opens in the West End, bringing magic and mischief to the Aldwych Theatre. Based on the film of the same name and with a book by Academy Award winner Emma Thompson, this spectacular show will cast a spell over the whole family.
The anarchic Brown children have driven away every nanny their long-suffering father has employed, so when mysterious Nanny McPhee appears at their door, they think it will be more of the same: scare her off with wild tricks and unruly behaviour, and get the house back to themselves. But Nanny McPhee is different, and, armed with a strange knobbly stick, some very unusual childminding methods, and a lot of magic, she helps them all learn some lessons… even the adults.
The Nanny McPhee musical is based on the 2005 film of the same name, and is adapted for the stage by its star, Emma Thompson. Oscar, BAFTA, Golden Globe and Emmy-award winner Thompson writes the book, with music by singer-songwriter Gary Clark (Sing Street) and original lyrics by Thompson and Clark.
The creative team includes director Katy Rudd, who brought the dark magic of The Ocean at the End of the Lane and the classic charm of Ballet Shoes to the National Theatre, Olivier Award-winning set and costume designer Rob Howell (Matilda the Musical) and choreographer Ellen Kane (Paddington the Musical, Matilda the Musical).
Book tickets for Nanny McPhee The Musical and experience a magical adventure for the young and young at heart. With an award-winning creative team and heartwarming story, it’s the perfect new family show in London.
