Catch a classic with Fiddler on the Roof musical tickets

Make a match with Fiddler on the Roof at the Barbican Theatre! Jordan Fein’s five-star production transfers for eight weeks only this summer, following a sold-out season at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre last year. This “showstopper” (The Guardian) revival of the classic musical about faith, family and community is a joyful experience, as Jewish father Tevye finds his traditional beliefs colliding with his headstrong daughters’ wishes.

Set in 1905 in a small Russian village, the Fiddler on the Roof musical follows milkman Tevye and his family. Devout Tevye lives his life by tradition, and that means bringing in the matchmaker for his five daughters. But as each young woman challenges their father’s beliefs and tries to walk their own path in a changing world, can Tevye hold onto his roots, or will he learn to embrace the unfamiliar?

Fiddler is a fantastic celebration of family, community and revolution, featuring some of the best songs in the playbook, including “If I Were A Rich Man”, “Tradition”, “Matchmaker” and “Sunrise, Sunset”. Since premiering on Broadway in the 1960s, it has become an audience favourite and has won several awards including the Tony Award for Best Musical.

The Fiddler on the Roof musical has a book by Joseph Stein (Zorba), and music & lyrics by Pulitzer Prize-winning duo Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick (Fiorello!). Director Jordan Fein leads this revival, which was called “a musical triumph” (The i) and “hugely moving” (The Evening Standard). The creative team also includes choreographer Julia Cheng (Cabaret) and designer Tom Scutt (King Charles III, Jesus Christ Superstar).

The cast includes three of the original Regent’s Park company, who were all Olivier Award-nominated for their performances: Adam Dannheisser as Tevye, Lara Pulver as Golde, and Beverley Klein as Yente.

Gorgeous music and a heartwarming story… this miracle of miracles is one of the top shows to see in London this year! Book tickets now to enjoy a five-star production, back for a limited time only.
