This isn’t a Bah Humbug! A brand new staged concert production of the musical, A Christmas Carol, will open at the Dominion Theatre for a socially-distanced festive season.

TV comedy legend, Brian Conley will take on the role of Scrooge in this acclaimed musical adaptation of Dickens’ classic festive tale, backed by a 24-piece orchestra and an all-star West End cast.

Conley, who recently finished a stint in the hit musical 9 to 5 in London’s West End, has a career in television and on stage spanning 40 years. He has performed hosting duties at the prestigious Royal Variety Show eight times, as well as hosting his own TV chat show, The Brian Conley Show. Stage credits include Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Hairspray and Oliver.

Joining Conley is Eastenders actress Jacqueline Jossa as Emily/Ghost of Christmas Future, Busted’s Matt Jay-Willis as Bob Cratchitt, Lucie Jones (Waitress) as Ghost of Christmas Past, Sandra Marvin (Emmerdale) as Mrs Fezziwig, Martyn Ellis (Wicked) as Mr Fezziwig, Cedric Neal (Back to the Future the Musical) as Ghost of Christmas Present, Jeremy Secomb (The Phantom of the Opera) as Jacob Marley, Rebecca Lock (Curtains) as Mrs Cratchit, and Sam Oladeinde (Hamilton) as Fred Anderson/Young Scrooge.

This acclaimed adaptation of A Christmas Carol features music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, and book by Ahrens and Mike Ockrent. Eight-time Oscar winner, Menken is best known for his work with Walt Disney Studios, notably The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and Pocahontas.

A Christmas Carol has been seen by over five million people in New York City, where it was presented annually at Madison Square Garden for a decade. Concert productions have been staged annually in London since 2016, with actors including Robert Lindsay and Griff Rhys Jones taking on the titular role.

Spreading Christmas joy from 7th December to 2nd January 2021, don’t miss this unique and magical staging of one of the most beloved stories ever written at the Dominion Theatre this Christmas.
