Comedian and broadcaster Matt Forde brings his hugely acclaimed podcast to the West End stage, combining topical stand-up with hard-hitting political interviews.
The Political Party with Matt Forde has been a regular feature in the top 10 podcasts chart since launching in 2013 and has been downloaded over six million times. Alongside comedy about the latest political news, bust-ups and policies, Forde invites a prominent politician to join him live on stage.
Invited guests span the full political spectrum and past politicians have included Tony Blair, Nicola Sturgeon, Nick Clegg, George Osborne, Emily Thornberry, Nigel Farage to name but a few.
The live show previously took place at The Other Palace once a month and was a regular sell-out event. The show will now transfer into the West End, playing select Monday evenings at the Duchess Theatre.
Matt Forde rose to prominence as a regular broadcaster during Russell Howard and Jon Richardson’s BBC Radio 6 shows from 2007 to 2010. He previously worked as a political adviser for several MPs in the Labour Party. In 2011 he performed his first solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival before going on to launch his celebrated podcast.
Alongside the podcast, Forde also hosts Unspun with Matt Forde, a political comedy show on the TV channel Dave.
