Carrie Cracknell directs a “intellectually thrilling and romantically stirring” (The Telegraph) revival of Tom Stoppard’s Arcadia play in the West End this summer! Playing for a limited season, this play will transform the Duke of York’s Theatre into an intimate in-the-round experience. Book now and get ready to experience this breathtaking play about time, science and desire – you only have a limited time to catch it!

Arcadia takes place in a country house in Derbyshire, where two storylines from different time periods intertwine. Alternating between 1809 and the present day, the story follows scholars as they unravel the truth surrounding mathematical truths about chaos and thermodynamics. It’s a play about time, science and desire that is brilliant, funny and deeply moving.

First staged in 1993, Arcadia premiered on the Lyttleton stage at the National Theatre, where it received widespread critical acclaim and won the Olivier Award for Best New Play. This new revival brings Tom Stoppard’s significant play to the London stage for the first time since 2009.

Written by Tom Stoppard, this revival of Arcadia is directed by Carrie Cracknell (A Doll’s House, Young Vic and Persuasion, Netflix).

This landmark revival of Arcadia arrives in the West End for a limited time this summer, glowing “with historical, intellectual and sexual intrigue” (The Financial Times). As the play weaves audiences through complex scientific concepts, Arcadia is, more importantly, one of the greatest integrations into the theatrical realm, making it perfect for a wide variety of audiences to be enthralled by. Grab your tickets for a powerfully intimate trip to the theatre!
