Smash-hit Broadway musical On Your Feet! arrives in the West End for a strictly limited summer season, documenting the lives of Grammy Award-winners Emilio and Gloria Estefan. Originally opening on Broadway in 2015 before embarking on a US tour, the musical receives its UK premiere at the London Coliseum, with a limited pre-run of seven performances at Leicester Curve.
Based on the true love story of the Estefans, On Your Feet! is the electrifying musical that charts the pair’s rise to fame as one of the most popular Latin crossover acts of American music. Following the duo from their childhood in Cuba, to living on the streets of Miami, to achieving worldwide fame, the musical features toe-tapping numbers including “Rhythm is Gonna Get You”, “Get on Your Feet”, “Conga”, “1-2-3” and many more.
The cast includes Christie Prades as Gloria Estefan, having played the role on Broadway, and George Ioannides (Annie) as Emilio Estenfan. The alternate Gloria is Philippa Stefani (In the Heights). Madalena Alberto plays Gloria Fajardo and Karen Mann plays Consuelo.
On Your Feet! features a book by Alexander Dinelaris and is directed by Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Hairspray), with choreography by Olivier Award-winner Sergio Trujillo, whose credits include Jersey Boys.
A jukebox musical based on the hits of the 26-time Grammy Award-winners, On Your Feet! is the exhilarating Tony Award-nominated show that celebrates years of popular Latin music. The production plays at the London Coliseum for a limited season, from June 14th to August 31st 2019.
