Based on the best-selling picture book and adapted by children’s theatre company, Tall Stories, this fantastic play will provide giggles for the whole family this Winter.
When the witch and her cat head off on their travels through the sky on their broomstick, they pick up a few hitchhikers. They make friends with a dog, find a stunning green bird and meet a frantic frog, until their broomstick breaks in two! Discover how they find their way home as they run into a big, hungry dragon with Room on the Broom play.
The yet-to-be-confirmed cast is small but mighty and will be announced closer to the run’s start date. Director, Olivia Jacobs, is the creator of other Tall Stories productions such as The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo’s Child. Music and lyrics are written by Jon Fiber and Andy Shaw with choreography created by Luanna Priestman.
Originally written by beloved children’s author, Julia Donaldson, the author has had other hit books adapted to the stage including, The Gruffalo, The Gruffalo’s Child and The Smartest Giant in Town. Deemed as Britain’s most celebrated children’s author, it’s not hard to see why with her books still being childhood staples 20 years later.
