The Gruffalo
The Gruffalo tickets are a treat for all of the family over the summer holidays
“A mouse took a stroll through the deep dark wood. A fox saw the mouse and the mouse looked good.” Julia Donaldson’s tale of a brave young mouse who stumbles across a mythical beast, the “Gruffalo” is now a firm favourite with children and grown up children alike.
Back by popular demand at the Lyric Theatre, The Gruffalo runs from 1st July – 6th September.
This onstage re-imagination of Donaldson’s beloved text depicts the much loved characters of Mouse, Fox, Snake, Owl and of course, Gruffalo himself. As Mouse sets out for a stroll through the “deep dark wood” he encounters some very hungry animals. However Mouse manages to evade the hungry creatures by telling them of a MUCH hungrier and far more terrifying beast; the Gruffalo! What will Mouse do when he comes face to face with what he thought was just a figment of his imagination?!
The Gruffalo is presented by Tall Stories, directed by Olivia Jacobs and with designs by Isla Shaw.
Child Friendly
The Gruffalo is a family friendly show aimed at children. Running at 55 minutes with no interval, The Gruffalo manages to catch the children’s attention throughout it’s duration.
