Don’t miss out on The Inheritance tickets as it transfers to the West End following a hugely acclaimed run at the Young Vic

Matthew Lopez’s critically-acclaimed two-parter The Inheritance transfers to the West End’s Noel Coward Theatre for a strictly limited season, following a sold-out premiere at the Young Vic. Featuring a stellar cast, including Vanessa Redgrave, the production has been dubbed a modern classic and explores interlinked stories of the generations who follow the peak of the AIDs crisis in New York.

With interweaving lives and stories spanning the production, The Inheritance explores what it is like to be a young gay man in New York after a serious and threatening epidemic. Transporting EM Forster’s 1910 novel Howards End into the 21st century states, the two-part play is a compelling take on the turbulent, hilarious experiences of a group of young, determined New Yorkers.

How many words are there for pain and love? What will be the legacy they leave behind? And what do they owe to future generations, and to each other? Playing across two performances, The Inheritance can be seen either in one day or across two evenings.

Most of the original cast transfer with the production, including Hugo Bolton, Robert Boulter, Andrew Burnap, Hubert Burton, John Benjamin Hickey, Paul Hilton, Samuel H. Levine, Syrus Lowe, Michael Marcus, Vanessa Redgrave, Kyle Soller and Michael Walters.

The Inheritance is directed by multi-award-winning director Stephen Daldry, whose credits include An Inspector Calls, The Audience and Billy Elliot, as well as Netflix’s The Crown. The production features design by Bob Crowley, lighting by Jon Clark and sound by Paul Arditti and Chris Reid, with music by Paul Englishby.

An important, topical and electrifying new play from the Young Vic, The Inheritance transfers to the West End for a strictly limited season, playing at the Noel Coward Theatre. The Inheritance Part 2 runs at the London venue from September 21st 2018 to January 5th 2019, with an official opening on October 13th 2018.
