Getting there

Rosebery Avenue

Sadler’s Wells is located away from the main stretch of London West End theatre in Islington, bringing the magic of dance to a different area of the capital. Islington is a little less popular with tourists which often means the area is less crowded and commercial than the very centre of London. There are many nice pubs and restaurants in the area and it is a popular location for fringe theatre. There are several nearby tube and rail stations as well as a number of bus stops linking the area to other parts of London. It is always advisable to check for London travel updates before making your journey.

Sadler’s Wells theatre is within walking distance of Farringdon, Kings Cross (which is connected to St Pancras station) and Old Street stations. The closest stations to the theatre are both Farringdon and Kings Cross, which is a major station that connects London with many cities north of the capital including Edinburgh and Leeds.

Kings Cross and Farringdon tube stations are fully access adapted.

From Farringdon (18 minutes) – Head straight out of the station and turn right onto Farringdon Road towards Angel. Continue up the road for over five minutes and then turn right onto Rosebery Avenue. The theatre will be around an 8 minute walk away on your left hand side.
From London Kings Cross / St Pancras (20 minutes) – Exit the station and walk down Pentonville Road towards Angel. Turn right at Angel station down St John Street. Take a right down Rosebery Avenue. The theatre will be on your left hand side.
