Hilarious marital woes with The Truth play tickets

Are you ready for an offbeat date night? Head to the West End for a star-studded revival of Academy Award winner Florian Zeller’s The Truth play, with Stephen Mangan, Ardal O’Hanlon, Sarah Hadland and Janie Dee. Everyone has something to hide in this wickedly funny infidelity romp, but will any of them come clean? Find out with tickets to see the show at the Apollo Theatre.

Michel is having an affair with Alice, whilst married to Laurence. Alice is his best friend Paul’s wife… and she thinks they should tell their partners the truth. But would it cause more harm than good? As the couples’ relationships become more and more entangled, truths are revealed, hidden and twisted depending on who’s telling the story.

With fast-paced dialogue and rising stakes, The Truth exposes the lies we tell each other, and the ones we tell ourselves. It is written by internationally-acclaimed French playwright Florian Zeller, whose other plays The Father and The Son have been performed in the West End. The Father was also adapted into a film starring Anthony Hopkins, with Zeller winning an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay.

The Truth play’s cast includes a brilliant group of comic actors: Tony Award nominee Stephen Mangan, Father Ted and My Hero’s Ardal O’Hanlon, Miranda’s Sarah Hadland and Olivier Award winner Janie Dee.

The English version of the play is translated by Tony winner and Academy Award nominee Christopher Hampton (Sunset Boulevard, Les Liaisons Dangereuses), and this revival is directed by Olivier Award winner Lindsay Posner (Noises Off).

We think honesty is the best policy, so believe us when we say you shouldn’t miss The Truth at the Apollo Theatre! This major revival is stacked with some of the funniest names in British and Irish showbiz, and has a whip-smart script that you’ll laugh and cringe at. It’s in the West End for a strictly limited season this spring.
