His Majesty's Theatre

One of the most prolific venues in the West End, His Majesty’s Theatre dates back to 1897 and was designed by Charles J. Phipps. Built in an ornate and lavish structure, the theatre is best known for hosting Andrew Lloyd Webber’s long-running musical The Phantom of the Opera. As one of London’s older theatres, the venue retains architectural traits such as a curved auditorium and support pillars, which can make for some tricky viewing. With a seating capacity of 1,216, His Majesty’s Theatre is built across four levels; the Stalls, Royal Circle, Grand Circle and Balcony. A range of views are on offer throughout the theatre, with the Stalls and Royal Circle guaranteeing the best views of the stage.
