His Majesty's Theatre seating plan
One of the most prolific venues in the West End, His Majesty’s Theatre dates back to 1897 and was designed by Charles J. Phipps. Built in an ornate and lavish structure, the theatre is best known for hosting Andrew Lloyd Webber’s long-running musical The Phantom of the Opera. As one of London’s older theatres, the venue retains architectural traits such as a curved auditorium and support pillars, which can make for some tricky viewing. With a seating capacity of 1,216, His Majesty’s Theatre is built across four levels; the Stalls, Royal Circle, Grand Circle and Balcony. A range of views are on offer throughout the theatre, with the Stalls and Royal Circle guaranteeing the best views of the stage. Due to the height of the theatre, the Grand Circle and Balcony can be slightly problematic as views become distant and restricted. Check out our seating price chart below, which details the type of view you get for the price you pay. There are some bargains to be had, and it’s worth thoroughly checking before purchasing tickets. Please note that prices may vary, depending on whether the performance is a peak weekend or mid-week performance.

£125.00 (Premium Seats) Premium seats can be found in the centre of rows F-H, roughly seats 11-18 and 9-20 in Row F. These are the best seats in the theatre, offering a perfect overall view of the stage that feels close enough to be involved in the action.   Seats 13-24 of Row A are premium priced, due to the amazing, unrestricted view of the entire stage. You will not miss a thing from here, and you will also see moments of the show that can be missed from other seats. Not available. Not available.
£97.50 (Premium Seats) These seats are top price and located in seats 9-20 of rows G-K. These seats are worth purchasing for the overall excellent view of the stage. Nothing will be missed from these seats.   Only a handful of seats are top price; 9-12 and 25-28 of Row A. £72.50 The majority of the Stalls are this price, as the views are unparalleled from this section. No matter where you sit, even at the very ends of rows, no action is restricted, and you get amazing views of the best moments of Phantom. It is worth sitting as centrally as possible for the best experience.   Most of the Royal Circle falls under this price, aside from seats at the very ends of rows. A gradual curve ensures that these centrally-located seats have the best view of the stage, without any restrictions. A decent rake means you can see past those in front of you. Not available. Not available.
£54.00 Seats 10-12 of Row A are this price, as the conductor may be distracting for some. Bargain seats for Phantom fanatics! Seats in Row N onward are this price, as the Royal Circle overhang can restrict major moments of the show. Some seats are affected by pillar restrictions and seats at the ends of rows face the stage side on.   These seats are mostly mid-rear of the Royal Circle and are discounted due to being distant from the stage and affected by the Grand Circle overhang. Seats at the ends of rows A-C are this price as they face the stage side on, which can restrict some moments of action.     Most seats in the central block of the Grand Circle are this price, as there is an excellent overall view of the stage that may only feel a little distant. Roughly seats 12-26 of rows A-E are this price, and are worth choosing over other seats in this section, as these are the best views on offer. A decent rake ensures those in front will not obstruct.   Not available.
£44.50 Not available. Seats 1-4 of rows D-G fall under this price bracket as they face the stage slightly side on, which can make for some uncomfortable viewing. It is preferable to choose these seats over those similarly priced in Row H, as they are severely restricted by the Grand Circle overhang, which can block some vital moments.   The majority of the Grand Circle is this price, as although views are not necessarily restricted, the stage can feel quite distant and it can be difficult to make out detail. It is worth choosing seats as centrally as possible, as those located in the side blocks offer a slight side view of the stage. Not available.
£39.50 Not available. Not available. Seats at this price are located toward the ends of rows, which predominantly face the stage side on, causing a restricted view. You may need to lean forward to see the stage from these seats.   Not available.
£29.50 Not available. Not available. Seats at this price are located toward the end of each row and are severely restricted view, as they face the stage side on. Action may feel distant, and the walls can block parts of the stage, which means action will be missed. Legroom is limited in these seats.   Not available.
£28.00 There are minimal seats at this price in the Stalls, all of which are located directly behind support pillars and are affected by the overhang. It’s worth spending more money to ensure you can see the stage!   Seats in this price category are directly affected by pillars, which block large sections of the stage. It is worth spending a little more to ensure that you can properly see the stage! Not available. The majority of the Balcony falls under this price, as it is very distant from the stage and is difficult to make out any detail. Legroom is incredibly limited in this section, and although the rake is good, it may be uncomfortable.
