Beloved and five-time Oscar-nominated film Amélie is brought to new life in this cult-classic musical adaptation. Following a UK tour, this quirky love story will play The Other Palace this winter, starring Audrey Brisson.

Amélie tells the story of an extraordinary young woman, whose mind is far louder than her voice, spending her days performing small acts of kindness for those around her. Soon a chance at love comes her way, but she must learn to say what’s in her heart in order to achieve it.

Audrey Brisson continues in her role as Amélie from this year's UK tour, following acclaimed performances in The Elephantom, Pinocchio and Pericles (both for the National Theatre), and The Grinning Man (Bristol Old Vic).

Amélie premiered at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre in 2015 and transferred to Broadway with Phillipa Soo in the title role. With music by Hem’s Daniel Messé, lyrics by Nathan Tysen and Daniel Messé (Tuck Everlasting) and book by Craig Lucas (The Light in the Piazza), this new musical adaptation of the five-time Oscar-nominated film written by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Guillaume Laurant, this production is directed by Michael Fentiman (RSC: Titus Andronicus).

Although times are hard for dreamers, Amélie is someone to believe in. Catch her whimsical story of love and kindness at The Other Palace from 29 November 2019.
