Dominic West in an intense American classic – A View From the Bridge play tickets

BAFTA Award-winning star of The Wire, The Affair and The Crown Dominic West leads a star-studded revival of Arthur Miller’s devastating masterpiece A View From the Bridge this year, direct from a sold-out run in Bath. This epic drama about one man’s place in NYC’s Italian-American community – and the illicit desires that trigger his downfall – ran out of tickets in just one hour for its Theatre Royal Bath season, and now makes its way to the West End’s Theatre Royal Haymarket for 11 weeks only.

Set in 1950s New York City, A View From the Bridge is a thrilling, wrenching tale of sexual repression and illicit desires. When longshoreman Eddie Carbone takes in his niece Catherine, he resolves to raise her as if she were his own. But things change when his wife’s cousins arrive from Italy, and charismatic Rodolpho catches Catherine’s attention. Consumed with sexual jealousy, Eddie’s rage explodes with shocking and tragic consequences for NYC’s tight-knit Italian-American community.

Arthur Miller’s A View From the Bridge play is a towering and daring work that has left audiences breathless for decades. Like his other most famous dramas – The Crucible and Death of a Salesman – it mixes Miller’s incredible skill for provocative storytelling that interrogates the American Dream through family and community units.

Dominic West stars as Eddie Carbone. He is best known for his powerful screen roles including Jimmy McNulty in The Wire and Prince Charles in The Crown. He is joined by an all-star cast including Olivier Award winner Kate Fleetwood (London Road) and BAFTA Cymru winner Callum Scott Howells (It’s a Sin; Cabaret at the Playhouse Theatre).

The show is directed by Lindsay Posner, who also helmed the hit revival of Noises Off in London and on tour. When A View From the Bridge went on sale for its Bath season, tickets flew out and the entire run was sold out within one hour.

Forbidden passion and terrifying rage heat up the stage in the enduringly popular A View From the Bridge play, so get your tickets now to see it for yourself with an incredible cast.
