Following a sold-out run at Jermyn Street Theatre and a hit UK tour in 2023, the captivating and dramatic play based on a true story makes its West End debut at Theatre Royal Haymarket for an extremely limited run this Summer. It’s the Summer of 1945 and six of Germany’s top nuclear scientists are being held in the British countryside. They only have a broken piano, newspapers and a copy of Blithe Spirit to pass the time. When news arrives from around the world that rocks their living quarters, Farm Hall, the scientists are unaware that their conversations are being overheard.
Archie Backhouse (The Sandman) takes on the role of Bagge, Daniel Boyd (Hollow Crown, Misfits) will be playing Weisacker and Alan Cox (Uncle Vanya) is Heisenberg. Joining them on stage is Julius D’Silva (The Crown, Made in Dagenham) as Diebner, Forbes Masson (Summer and Smoke) as Hahn and David Yelland as Von Laue (All Our Children, The Diplomat).
Farm Hall is student, Katherine Moar’s, debut play. The play is directed by Stephen Unwin, designed by Ceci Calf and cast by Ginny Schiller.
