The fantastic Mischief Theatre continue their Mischief Season at the Vaudeville Theatre with their second new show: Magic Goes Wrong.

This hilarious comedy sees a gang of hapless magicians putting on a magic show for charity. But, as the accidents begin to spiral out of control, so does their fundraising target. There will be a variety of magic styles, including a mind reader, American jeopardy magician, and an ancient quick-change artist. Alongside the tricks that go wrong, the show also promises “genuinely dazzling and cool” tricks.

Mischief Theatre have been making things ‘go wrong’ in the West End since 2014, when their show The Play That Goes Wrong debuted at the Duchess Theatre. The company went on to create the festive Peter Pan Goes Wrong in 2015, swiftly followed by new show The Comedy About a Bank Robbery in 2016. In 2016/17, the company aired Christmas specials on the BBC: Peter Pan Goes Wrong and A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong.

The show is made with magic legends Penn and Teller, whose tricks and illusions have been stunning the world since the ‘70s. They have starred on Broadway, Las Vegas, hosted many television series’, as well as have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Magic Goes Wrong is the second of three shows which make up the ‘Mischief Season’ at the Vaudeville Theatre, where the company will be resident until August 2020. The season started with Groan Ups in September 2019. The play following Magic Goes Wrong is yet to be announced.
