Lolita Chakrabarti’s Olivier Award-winning adaption of beloved novel Life of Pi brings a spectacular story of belief, friendship and awe-inspiring puppetry to Wyndham’s Theatre.
After a cargo ship sinks in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, just five survivors remain on a single small lifeboat – a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan, a hungry Bengal tiger, and a sixteen-year-old boy. Both time and the harsh realities of nature are against them – will any of them survive?
Based on Yann Martel’s Booker Prize winning novel, which has sold over fifteen million copies worldwide, Life of Pi is presented in a gripping new adaptation by Lolita Chakrabarti, winner of both the Charles Wintour Award for Most Promising Playwright and the Most Promising Playwright Award from Critics Circle.
