Celebrate all things 1960s in this hit show featuring a celeb-filled cast with Rip It Up tickets

What do McFly’s Harry Judd, Olympic gymnast Louis Smith, JLS’s Aston Merrygold, and The Wanted’s Jay McGuinness have in common? They’re all Strictly Come Dancing champs with a passion for dance. As stars of the infectiously uplifting musical Rip It Up – The 60s, they’re putting their skills to good use. Celebrate the sounds, moves and styles of the era with this unmissable show when it makes its home at the Garrick Theatre for a limited run.

Split across different seasons, all four boys won the hearts of the public as contestants on Strictly. Aston took part in 2017 and was dubbed ‘The People’s Champion’ thanks to his week-6 shock exit which caused viewer outrage. Harry took the crown in 2011, Louis won the 2012 series (and the 2014 Strictly Christmas special too) and Jay emerged as champion in 2015. Aston, Harry and Louis went on to tour Rip It Up – The 60s across the UK, and now that the show makes itself at home in the West End, Jay joins them to complete the awesome foursome.

Each of the group is a superstar in his own right. Harry is a drummer and a past member of international pop group McFly and, later, McBusted. Jay was a part of boy band The Wanted, acclaimed worldwide for hits such as Glad You Came and All Time Low. Louis shot to fame at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 after winning a Bronze medal in the pommel horse; he has since become a TV and stage personality. Aston became a household name as a member of X Factor runners-up JLS and has gone on to enjoy a successful solo career.

Immerse yourself in pure nostalgia, show-stopping dance and the distinctive sounds of the era. Listen to homegrown British superstars like The Beatles, The Who and The Rolling Stones as well as sounds from American icons such as The Beach Boys and The Doors. Real life footage from the 60s is displayed on a state-of-the-art screen and there are celebrity contributions to boot. Catch Rip It Up – The 60s at the Garrick Theatre from February 2019 for a strictly limited four-month run.
