Fans of the late, great George Michael will be delighted to know that a new show dedicated to the pop icon is headed to the West End. Fastlove – A Tribute to George Michael will play at Lyric Theatre from 15th October 2018. Jam-packed with well-known anthems and beloved melodies, this soaring show promises to be a fitting homage to the inimitable star.
George Michael found fame as a member of pop duo Wham! whose hit singles include Last Christmas. In 1987 he launched his debut solo album Faith which went on to win the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1989. Beyond the music, he was a staunch LGBT rights campaigner and a major charity fundraiser for HIV/AIDS. He passed away much too young on Christmas Day 2016.
Fastlove – A Tribute to George Michael includes a wealth of hits, such as “Father Figure”, “Freedom”, “Faith” and “Careless Whisper” that provided a soundtrack to the eighties, nineties and noughties.
