The Greatest Showman
A million dreams coming true with The Greatest Showman musical tickets
More than a decade after the film’s release, The Greatest Showman musical makes its spectacular West End debut at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in 2027, following a run at the Bristol Hippodrome in 2026. The inspiring story of resilience, acceptance, belonging, and the power of being true to yourself has been transformed into a musical adaptation by EGOT-winning songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
Based on a real-life 19th-century showman, The Greatest Showman charts the extraordinary rags-to-riches journey of P.T. Barnum. From humble beginnings, Barnum creates a circus which thrusts the dreamers and outsiders centre stage. A restless maverick refuses the life everyone expects of him; his determination to build a successful business begins to have an impact on those important relationships back home. The new musical features the genre-defying Oscar-nominated songs from the movie, including “This Is Me”, “Rewrite the Stars” and “The Greatest Show”, alongside new material created specifically for the musical adaptation.
The Greatest Showman musical will be led by Oliver Tompsett (A Knight’s Tale) as P.T. Barnum, Samantha Barks (Disney’s Frozen) as Charity Barnum and Ben Joyce (Back to the Future the Musical) as Phillip Carlyle, alongside Lorna Courtney (& Juliet) as Anne Wheeler, Vajen van den Bosch (Disney’s Frozen) as Jenny Lind and Malinda Paris (Disney’s Hercules) as Lettie Lutz.
The musical’s book is by Emmy nominee Tim Federle (High School the Musical: The Series), and the music is by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Strange Loop). The Greatest Showman musical is directed and choreographed for the West End by Casey Nicholaw (Mean Girls the Musical, The Book of Mormon).
