An enchanting new production with The Tempest play tickets

BAFTA Award-winning actress, Sigourney Weaver, makes her West End debut as Prospero in Jamie Lloyd’s Shakespeare season at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. The Tempest play will no doubt reflect Lloyd’s stripped-back style of directing and is set to be one of the biggest plays of the season. We expect tickets to sell quickly, so we recommend grabbing them early to avoid disappointment.

When a ship gets caught in a sudden storm and washes up on a remote island, the passengers seek shelter inland. Prospero, a banished sorcerer, watches from the distance. Her brother, Antonio, is one of the survivors and she is determined to get revenge. Shakespeare’s play is a story of fury, revenge and redemption and is one of the last plays he wrote alone.

The Tempest play marks Sigourney Weaver’s West End debut. The award-winning actress is well-known for her role in the Alien franchise as well as starring in the original Ghostbusters. Weaver is no stranger to the stage, having performed in four Broadway productions including Hurlyburly and Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike

Jamie Lloyd is an Olivier Award-winning director and is best known for his star-studded revivals of classic plays and musicals. He most recently directed the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical revival of Sunset Boulevard starring Nicole Scherzinger and Romeo and Juliet with Tom Holland. The Tempest play runs in a season at Drury Lane which also features Much Ado About Nothing starring Tom Hiddleston and Hayley Atwell

Don’t miss Sigourney Weaver’s huge West End debut in the new production of The Tempest play at the spectacular Drury Lane. The huge revival will be a highlight of the West End season, so secure your tickets before they sell out.
