Book Crazy For You tickets and enjoy a feel-good Gershwin musical in the West End

Classic musical Crazy For You brings old-fashioned glamour and sublime Gershwin melodies to the West End. This heart-warming story about a banker who dreams of life on the stage is guaranteed to put a smile on your face at the Gillian Lynne Theatre

Bobby Child always dreamed of becoming an actor, but his mother and fiancee have other ideas. Tasked with running the family’s banking business, he heads from his New York home to Deadrock, Nevada, to foreclose on a mortgage. When he arrives, he discovers that the mortgage is on a shabby Victorian theatre and the owner’s daughter Polly is the girl of his dreams. Determined to win her heart, Bobby decides to put on a show that Deadrock will never forget.

Crazy For You is one of Ira and George Gershwin’s most feel-good musicals, with upbeat songs including “Someone to Watch Over Me”, “Embraceable You” and “I Got Rhythm” peppered throughout the story. Combined with Ken Ledwig’s witty and charming book, and director/choreographer Susan Stroman’s sharp tap routines, this 30th anniversary production, straight from Chichester Festival Theatre, will have you grinning from ear to ear.

Susan Stroman is a prolific Broadway director with five Tony and two Olivier Awards to her name. Her other work includes The Producers and The Scottsboro Boys

Her light-footed choreography in Crazy For You is performed with aplomb by its hugely talented cast, including Charlie Stemp (Mary Poppins, Half a Sixpence) as Bobby and Carly Anderson (Wicked, Sunny Afternoon) as Polly. Both Stemp and Anderson starred in the musical’s original Chichester season in 2022.

Glorious musical numbers and a show-stopping romance make Crazy For You completely irresistible, so book tickets and find out why it’s earned its place as a pure Broadway classic.
