The Gillian Lynne Theatre is located in the hub of theatrical action on Drury Lane, surrounded by famous theatres such as the Theatre Royal Drury Lane and the Royal Opera House There is a lot going on in the area in terms of entertainment, pubs and restaurants, which is handy for pre theatre dining and post theatre drinks. Rail


Charing Cross is the nearest National Rail station to the Gillian Lynne Theatre. Walking to the Gillian Lynne will take approximately 10 minutes. Head straight out of Charing Cross station, cross the road and turn left at the traffic lights onto the Strand towards Trafalgar Square. From there walk directly ahead up Martin’s Place. When the road forks by the London Coliseum keep right and walk up St Martin’s Lane. Keep walking until the road meets Shelton Stand keep walking. The Gillian Lynne Theatre is at the end of Shelton St on Drury Lane.

Tube


The nearest tube stations are Holborn and Covent Garden which are both approximately a 5 minute walk away from the theatre. Please see the directions below:

Holborn (5 minutes): Head out of the station and down Kingsway. Keep walking until you see Parker st on your right hand side. Turn down Parker St. You will see the Gillian Lynne Theatre on your right hand side at the end of the street.
Covent Garden (5 minutes): Exit left out of Covent Garden Station and turn right down Long Acre. When you meet Drury Lane, take a left. The Gillian Lynne Theatre will be a short walk down the road on the right hand side.

Car


The Gillian Lynne Theatre is located within the London Congestion Charge Zone which applies weekdays from 7am until 6pm (not bank holidays) and costs £11.50 per day. If you drive in the Charge Zone without paying before or 1 day after your journey you will be fined.  If you are driving to the theatre after 6pm then you will not be charged.

Like most West End theatres, The Gillian Lynne Theatre is part of the Q-Park Scheme. The nearest Q Park is the 24hr Chinatown car park (20 Newport Place,WC2H 7PR). Here parking costs £18 for up to 3hrs, and £24 for 4hrs but theatregoers can save 50% if they have their ticket validated at the theatre. Taxi


Black cabs can be found at the taxi rank outside Charing Cross station. Alternatively you can hail one from the area; there will be a lot of cabs driving around the area, especially on the Strand/Aldwych junction.
